Tom is fun loving child. He was the first born in his family. His father, Agasa Nyakyo, died of AIDS on the 2nd of September 2005 when Tom was 7 years old. His mother, Grace Mwesige, also has the AIDS virus and unable to care for her children. Tom's sister is Susan Nesime who also lives at Hope Children's Home. Prior to coming to live at Hope Tom's elderly grandmother, Annah Aboth gave him the best care she was able to provide but was unable to supply his needs. He arrived at Hope Children's Home on December 21, 2006 dirty, unhappy, and hopeless. With love and care, Tom has become loving and joyful. He is usually seen with a huge smile. Tom loves to drum, dance, sing, and play soccer (called football in Uganda). Tom is from the village of Nakaseeta and the Nyankole tribe. He attends Sseya Community School and Sseya Revival Church which is about half a mile from Hope Children's Home. PLEASE CONSIDER SPONSORING TOM! He is about to become a young man and is in need of a love, support, and prayer.
