Safe in the Hands of God

1 Feb. 2014 Posted by Pastor Bill in

I am so grateful for the protection of the Lord. I felt safe in the hands of God.Yesterday, I was driving home from Overland Park about 3:30PM. The entire time that I had been inside enjoying Prepare the Way Ministry friends, freezing drizzle had covered the windows, roads, and virtually everything. I asked God to protect me, and started the 40 minute drive home. After reaching Lee's Summit, the road condition was much worse with lots of black ice. The car in front of me made a sudden stop, also forcing me to also stop suddenly on the icy road. I stopped just short of the car in front of me; however the car behind me swerved to avoid hitting me. I heard the sickening sound of crashing metal, and realized that there had been an accident behind me somewhere close. Safe but shook up, I drove home at a crawl speed; and needless to say, I spent the night at home and was so thankful that each family member was home and also safe. I enjoyed listening to the first in a series on the Seven Spirits of God from Isaiah. It was awesome!
